Indhi holds an Executive MBA from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 17 years of experience working across multiple jurisdictions in the Energy, Industrial, Mining, and Rail infrastructure development sectors.
He is skilled in project and contract management with extensive experience in setting up business operations and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams across large-scale, complex infrastructure contracts.
With a technical background (B Eng Honors) in Energy and Power systems; Project Management; Engineering Assurance and Design Management, he has a unique set of skills in ascertaining our clients’ needs and delivering through all phases of a project lifecycle.
During his more than 40 years’ experience as an international businessman, consultant, company founder, director and investor Dempsey has made an indelible contribution to the many companies he has founded, directed and helped to grow. Dempsey is a founder and non-executive director of the AIH Group, founder and director of the PD Naidoo Group of Companies, including PD Naidoo Financial Services Pty Ltd and he has served for more than 10 years as a director of N3 Toll Concession Limited.
Past directorships and significant roles in the industry include 6 years’ service as chairman of JSE-listed company Texton Property Fund and as director of SA Property Association (SAPOA). He retired as managing director for Africa of Mott Macdonald (following its acquisition of the PD Naidoo Engineering Group).
Dempsey is acknowledged as a mentor and impact investor with a strong focus on empowerment, financial technology, poverty alleviation and manufacturing.
He holds fellowships in SAICE, SAAE, and CESAengineering institutions and he is a member of ICE UK, GAMA and ECSA and he is a Past President of CESA.
Dempsey obtained a BSc Hons in CivilEngineering (Kingston University, UK, 1981) and GDE Civil Engineering (Wits University, 1987).
